Wedding can be tricky and stressful, but this beautiful wedding last month at Cielo at Castle Pines was one of my all-time favorites and was a joy from beginning to end.

First of all, you can’t ask for a better and more caring couple than Lynnsey and Carter!

Every detail was carefully crafted to make the wedding beautiful and special.

They even had a sabrage, which I had never seen before.  Who wouldn’t want to see a champagne bottle opened with a sabre???

From the moment I arrived, everyone was happy, helpful and enjoying the moment.  It made for a great start to the day.

Also so special to see the bridesmaids and moms pray over Lynnsey, the day and their marriage.  It had me a little misty-eyed for sure.

Daddy/daughter first look?  Yes, please!!

Their first look was beautiful and special and just before they were about to see each other, I saw the wedding party and family spying from the upstairs window on the first look and it made for a cute background.

Just after the first look is my favorite time.  It is time with just the couple and I try to make it relaxed and fun and it is where we get the majority of the wedding portraits.

They wanted some pictures at the nearby Daniels Park so we headed up there for some pictures and then the wedding party (complete with a party bus) followed soon after.

We had a brief rain delay, but in true Colorado fashion it was done in about 10 minutes and we got back to work.  Thankfully there was a shelter that we hid under and got some cute pictures in as well.

This wedding party was gigantic, but they were the most kind, helpful and FUN wedding party I have had the honor to work with.

The guys wanted to recreate this photo from Carter’s brother’s wedding a few years ago.  It was HILARIOUS and they totally pulled it off.

Sisters. Are. The. Best.

Look at the awesome legacy that Carter and Lynnsey have had modeled for them.  I love it when the parents of the bride and groom are willing to do this picture….over 50 years of marriage represented in this picture!

We headed back to Cielo at Castle Pines to catch up with the last of the wedding party and to do a few more quick photos.

See what I mean about fun family and friends?  I caught the father of the groom doing this “selfie” with the entire wedding party just minutes before they all walked down the aisle.  So relaxed and having fun!

The ceremony part of the day always has me sentimental and makes me miss my husband.  Isn’t that silly and sappy at the same time!?

This just might be my new fav and it gives me all the feels.

Finally….husband and wife!

Best recessional ever.  Everyone was so full of joy!!!  You can see why Lynnsey and Carter are so fun and loving.  Just look at their parents.

The only thing that rivaled this beautiful couple is their friends and family.  Never have I seen two families coming together with such joy and genuine love.  I can only hope that my kids marry into a family that we love and care deeply for!  I mean, look at this picture!!!

After dinner we stole away to do some last portraits before sunset.  I always love this time too because the couple is way more relaxed and the lighting is always magnificent.

Now time for the fun part…Party Time!

First dance as Mr. and Mrs. ❤

Another favorite photo here.  Look at Lynnsey’s mom and sisters watching the father/daughter dance.  Everyone was so emotional!  Look at all of those happy tears.  So sweet.

Carter and his mom were pretty cute too!

This wedding had some serious dance moves.  The DJ killed it and the dance floor was full all night!

Another favorite photo here.  I couldn’t recreate this one if I tried.  So funny on so many levels.

Another happy accident here.  I didn’t even notice until I got home and was downloading photos that Lynnsey and Carter’s reflections were in the window when I took this photo of the cake just before they cut it.  Can you see them?

But alas….all good things must come to an end.  This is one of my last weddings.  I am hanging up my hat as a wedding photographer to focus my efforts on other areas of my photography.  One more wedding in October and I will be done.  I will miss shooting weddings but I won’t miss the way my legs ache at the end of an 8+ hour wedding day.  Thanks for being one of my last (and best) weddings Lynnsey and Carter.  I loved being a part of your day.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Lund!  I pray that your wedding will be blessed and full of joy, love, laughter and happy times.
