I have said it a thousand times, but I am so thankful for my job. Thankful for my LiLo families that keep coming back year after year and thankful particularly for this family!
Emily and I worked together at D’Evelyn and I have been photographing her family since their middle child, Mallory, was a newborn. Now look at how big she is (and not at all camera shy)!!
When their youngest, Carolyn, was born I photographed her birth and now she is all grown up too! Isn’t she the cutest? And where can I get myself a pink jacket like that???
Grant has always been one of my favorites. He is such a chatterbox, is so smart and now he is in school full time (and missing his teeth). Do I sound like an old lady lamenting about where the time has gone….well I am!
For the last few years our family sessions have been a little bit chaotic (and chilly for some reason). Having three small kids that are pretty close in age makes for a photographer’s workout! But now look at them! They were perfection!
This session was SO MUCH EASIER! The kids were all happy and very cooperative and we got so many images that I am in love with. Emily, you knocked it out of the park with everyone’s outfits this time too!
Favorite.
The kids know me now and they aren’t shy and it makes for easy, fun and silly pictures as well.
It made me so happy to hear from Emily when she got the pictures and said “these are my favorite”. That is always my goal. To outdo last year’s photos each time! I “picked” this one for my favorite. In their defense….I think I said something funny about picking their noses and they then did this.
For one reason or another, I never managed to get a picture of just Emily and Chris together. But this year…..we actually made it happen. Yay!!! Multiple years of marriage and three kids later and they still like each other!!
The best thing about this shoot…..the kids were so excited to give me some gifts that they had thoughtfully brought for me. They brought me Dr. Pepper chapstick and a Sonic gift card. They know that those things are just about my favorite things in the world and I was so touched that they brought them to me. Gifts are my love language and it made me all gooey inside that they were so thoughtful! I promptly left the session and stopped by Sonic for a GIANT Dr. Pepper and it fed my soul as well as my stomach. Thank you Lindsey family.
You have always been one of my favorite families…..but now you are at the very top of the list!!! In all seriousness, I am so thankful for you guys and the fact that you keep coming back year after year is the true gift.
