I know there are a lot of obstacles that get in the way of your having new brand photos taken, but they all boil down to one thing. Stress. You are stressed about color coordination, what to wear, brand elements to include, when to have your shoot, the list goes on! However, if you are looking for the easiest way to have a no stress photoshoot, then you are in the right place. I am going to give you a list of the only concerns you should have, and how to combat them!

Preplanning
You can never be too prepared, and I like to make that easy for my clients. I create a comprehensive Pose and Prep guide for my clients that includes, a shot list, posing ideas, prop list, outfit suggestions and a getting ready guide. Follow this guide and you will be ready to get in front of the camera! And if you have any questions, I am just a text away!

Lay It Out
Lay everything out the day before to get an overall view of what you are planning to wear. This will help you make cohesive outfit choices. In addition, it will allow you to see if you are missing anything! Then, group outfits and jewelry together in a garment bag to make changing outfits simple and stress free.
Pro Tip: While at your shoot bring a wagon to help schlep everything around. Between outfits and pros you may just have your hands full!

Eat Before
The best thing you can do for yourself the morning of your branding photoshoot is to eat a high protein breakfast. This will start your day off on the right foot and lead to a no stress photoshoot! A good meal helps stabilize your energy, keeps your mood positive, and can prevent a mid-morning crash. When you feel good, you look good!

Know Where You Are Going
Leading up to your branding photoshoot, be sure to check your maps app for the location we are planning to meet at. Take note of different routes as well as traffic patterns. Mapping out the location can ensure that you aren’t late to your shoot. Nothing is more stressful than running late and feeling rushed, so plan to be about 15 minutes early.

Music
One of my favorite tips as a brand photographer is to have a fun playlist ready to go. It will help you feel comfortable and move! Music instantly breaks the tension, brings out your natural energy, and helps you forget about the camera. Whether it’s upbeat pop or feel-good classics, the right playlist can turn your photoshoot into a more natural and candid experience.

Your Brand Photographer
Unlike other photographers, I recommend shopping around for the right brand photographer for you! You are about to invest in your business, and you want to make sure you are choosing the right person for the job. Find a photographer who you feel confident in, you love their style, and who you feel comfortable around.
