3 Genius ChatGPT Tricks You Should Steal
Raise your hand if you’ve ever opened ChatGPT, typed something in… and then spent 15 minutes trying to fix what it gave you. You’re not alone. AI is powerful, but only if you know how to use it well. In this episode of The Brand Believer, I’m sharing 3 genius ChatGPT tricks you should steal to save time, boost creativity, and actually get results in your business.
Trick #1: Always Start with a Clear Goal
One of the most common mistakes I see? Being too vague. When you give ChatGPT a fuzzy prompt, you get fuzzy results. Instead, treat it like a team member…give it a job. Whether you need Instagram captions, a launch plan, or blog titles, tell it your exact goal right up front. This clarity unlocks way better responses and keeps you from having to go back and forth endlessly.
Trick #2: Tell It How to Act
This one’s a game-changer. Don’t just tell it what you want, tell it who to be. Want content ideas? Ask it to act like a content strategist. Need branding help? Tell it to think like a brand coach. You can even drop names – “Act like Amy Porterfield” or “write like Jenna Kutcher.” This helps the AI give you content that’s in the right tone, voice, and strategy zone.
Trick #3: Ask It to Ask YOU Questions
Here’s where the magic really happens. At the end of every prompt, tell it to “ask me any questions before you start.” It’s a small sentence that makes a big difference. ChatGPT will ask for clarity…things you hadn’t even thought to share, which helps it produce exactly what you need the first time. No more backtracking. Just targeted, effective results.
Whether you’re new to AI or already a fan, these 3 genius ChatGPT tricks you should steal will completely shift the way you work. They’ve saved me hours, elevated my brand messaging, and helped my clients get clarity faster. Give them a try and if you want to dive deeper into using AI in your business, let’s chat.
Here is a Sample ChatGPT Prompt Template:
Copy, tweak, and use this inside ChatGPT to get better, faster results:
“I want to [insert your goal clearly]. Act like a [insert expert or coach type here, e.g., ‘branding expert’ or ‘Pinterest strategist’]. I need help with [explain the task or deliverable: e.g., blog titles, launch plan, SEO strategy, etc.]. My audience is [briefly describe your ideal client]. The goal is [insert your outcome: clicks, sales, sign-ups, etc.]. Ask me any questions you need before you begin.”
Example of How I Used This:
“I want to start showing up on Pinterest to get more clients for my website design. Act like a Pinterest expert. I need 5 pin titles, descriptions with keywords, and tags that will help me get found. My audience is women coaches and creative entrepreneurs. The goal is to drive sign-ups for my free website audit. Ask me any questions before you start.”
