Senior Sessions are my jam and I am so thankful for all of my 2019 seniors! I am a little bit behind on featuring my senior sessions so prepare for an onslaught of senior picture blogs in the next few weeks.
First up…Miss Emma. Emma is a senior at Dakota Ridge this year.
She has the sweetest smile and a personality to match!
Emma and her family did a family session with me last fall and I was thrilled when she came back this summer for her senior pictures. I am so thankful for my repeat clients….because I get to know them even better and we become friends and it makes sessions so much more fun when you are dealing with friends, right?!
The light for morning sessions can’t be beat. Yay for seniors who are willing to get up early for their sessions!
Shoes are my weakness and I was in love with Emma’s shoes. Aren’t they the cutest?
Just in case you can’t tell….I had a hard time narrowing these pictures down for the blog! I may have gone a little bit overboard #sorrynotsorry
This pink shirt was a perfect choice. The color was perfect for her skin tone and it is simple but the embroidered detail makes it interesting and gives it good texture. Simple yet detailed….I realize it is an oxymoron but it just works well with photos!
White dresses are a trend with senior pictures….for good reason. The white photographs so well and makes the Senior girls look so young, fresh and innocent. I am totally on board with this trend!
Here is another little hint for you. Bring a jacket along to your photo shoot. They are quick and easy to throw on and they give you more variety in your pictures without having to take the time to completely change your outfit.
See how it changes the look of these pictures?
Having a jacket also give you something to do with your hands so you aren’t like Ricky Bobby in the movie Talledega Nights where he is always saying “I don’t know what to do with my hands”. Put a jacket on and you will always have a place for your hands.
These pictures are probably my favorite. I am not sure why other than she looks so relaxed and happy!
Emma is a ballerina and I love that she wanted to do some pictures with her pointe shoes.
Thankfully Emma’s pointe shoes were at the end of their life and therefore she didn’t mind getting them in the dirt! Normally that would be a huge no-no! She got new shoes right after our session so no need to worry!
Best of luck this year Emma!! May your days be full of friends, fun and good choices!
Senior picture season is coming to a close and that makes me so sad, but there is still time if you know of someone who still needs senior pictures in the Denver area. I would love to meet them!

LiLo…Emma’s Aunt Liz here…wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed her pictures! Now, w your narrative with them, it just got even better! I’m so glad you were her photographer! Great job!!!
Thank you so much Liz!! You are lucky to have a wonderful niece and family! Blessings to you!
