The other day I shared with you the birth session for Ethan. Today, I am happy to share with you Ethan’s newborn session. If you missed the birth story of this little guy, then

I usually like to do newborn sessions in the first 7-10 days. They are still really sleepy during the day and are easier to pose. We decided to squeeze these photos in before Aidan went back to school so he could be there for some brother shots.
Aren’t these three just heart stopping?? They are crazy, loud, energetic little boys and I love them to death. They remind me of my boys so much.
They loved holding Ethan and hamming it up for the camera. They are quick to smile which makes my job so much easier.
A full family picture. Love this. And I love the sign above their bed. So true for these two. And guess what?? Becky made that sign. She is a really talented sign maker and has a great business going. If you need a hand made sign, she is your gal. You can find her website if you
click here. I love supporting other small business so get out there and do the same! When you support small businesses you are helping families pay for sports for their kids or paying for music lessons or for their weekly splurge of pizza night (not in our house… I am just saying hypothetically).
Then it was time for mom/baby pictures. I got Becky all set up and looking beautiful and then this happened. I am so glad I got this succession of photos. Because we laughed really hard. And then had to take a break so she could change her shirt.
After the “shower” I got some great shots of this beautiful woman and her precious baby boy.
Finally Ethan got his alone time in the spot light. I love how chubby he is!!
I am getting a little sentimental in the fact that I have photographed all three of this family’s boys when they were newborns. I have taken this exact picture with all three of them in this hat. I love that I have been with this family for over 5 years and I love their family like my own. So here is a side-by-side for your enjoyment and for my sentimentality. Ethan is the large photo on the left, Aidan is the top right and Noah is the bottom right.
Hello Colorado baby. Welcome to the most beautiful place on earth. And sorry there isn’t much air here. You will get used to it.
Then Brian had his turn. You can tell he is an old pro at this dad thing.
I tried a little something new with the dad photos and I love the way they turned out.
I did this session after falling asleep for 45 minutes the night before and then getting a text that another sweet baby was entering the world. I had been awake for almost 36 hours straight. And yet as soon as little Emma was born and I finished at the hospital, I headed across town to make sure we got these pictures. It was a crazy day but my heart was so full. I got to see a sweet baby girl enter the world and then I got to snuggle a 4 day old and play with 2 adorable little boys. It was a great day. Next time I would prefer a bit more sleep, but you take what you can get, right!? Kind of wish I had slept like this instead of being up all night.
Are you kidding me with all of this squishiness?
Welcome to the world Ethan! You are lucky to be a part of an amazing family. McKelveys….thanks for being faithful to me all these years and for telling everyone you know about me. You have amazing friends and family and you have helped me build my business all these years and I love and appreciate you so much. Congratulations on your sweet baby boy! Glad to see that your family has grown by another 2 feet.
