No joke. This session was almost 2 years in the making.
I am so thankful that Ashley found me a few years ago when Sawyer was born and that I was able to document his whole first year of life! This sweet family came back a few times in the following years but then….life happened. As it does so often. Their lives filled with school, friends, activities and sports and time got away.
Eighteen months ago Ashley contacted me because she was trying to get caught up and wanted to print some photos from our previous sessions. We got to chatting (via email) and made a plan to do photos again as it had been a while! By the way…..boy mom’s are my favorite!
Then life happened again. There were broken bones, sickness and many other random things that caused us to have to put off the session….for 18 months. I am so thankful that we were finally able to get this session on the books. No joke, I almost cried when I saw how big these boys have gotten. They have come a long way since Sawyer’s newborn session 5+ years ago!
Could these two be any different?
18 months was a long time to wait, but these amazing folks are worth it. I love spending time with them. It was hard to take pictures because I just wanted to sit down and have a chat with them.
Dawson is a tough nut to crack and he likes to put on a serious face, but I was finally able to crack that nut! Isn’t he so handsome?
On the other hand, Sawyer couldn’t NOT smile. How is that for a double negative? This kid is full of personality!
Dan and Ashley, I just love you guys to pieces and I am so thankful for you. Even if I only get to see you every few years.
Next time let’s try to get it on the calendar a little sooner and pray for no complications!
