You can’t ask for a cuter picture than this, can you?
I am so thankful that for the last 2 years I have been the photographer for this family and we have bonded greatly. They have been busy these last two years!
Josie was born in May of 2017 and I was lucky enough to do her newborn session. It was my first time photographing this sweet family. Click here if you want to see Josie’s newborn photos. Since that time, I have fallen in love with this sweet little gal. She always has the biggest smile for me and is never shy with me (fingers crossed that our relationship stays that way!). Now that she is a big sister my love for her grew even larger. How can it not? Look at how cute she is with her baby sister.
Seriously. I can’t get over it. Someday these girls are going to look back and cherish these photos as much as their parents do right now.
Fran and Josh are great and loving parents. Near the end of our session Josh had to leave to go to work and I was working with Avery downstairs while Fran was upstairs changing Josie’s diaper. I wish I had an audio recording of what was happening upstairs. Fran and Josie were singing and laughing and it was just about the cutest thing on the planet and it made me miss the days when my babies were little.
This little family is the best.
But the star of the show for this session was little Avery. She was an absolute angel. I don’t think I heard a peep out of her the entire time I was there!
She slept like a champ and even indulged me with a few smiles. She just might be my new favorite! And in case you were wondering….I used the black sweater I was wearing for the filler in this bowl. Sometimes you have to get creative in order to get the look you are trying to achieve!
And this background might be a scarf that a friend gave me for my birthday. I am putting it to good use!
Avery is so petite and cute. She came a few weeks early but apparently she was ready because she hasn’t had any problems! She even had eyelashes already which is kind of rare for any babies, let alone babies born early.
This next set of photos was me trying out something new and wanting to do some pure white photos. We did these at the very end because Avery was still happy. We were actually trying to wake her up so Fran could nurse her and she obliged us with these photos. And even though she was wide awake because we were messing with her, she was as content as could be. It was amazing! Fran and Josh are both pretty chill and that has definitely rubbed off on their girls.
You guys know that I love foot pictures.
But I think this one might be my favorite. So simple.
Congratulations Griffins. You have two beautiful and wonderful girls and I am so thankful that we are friends and that I get to be your photographer.
