Families

The Gonzales Family- Littleton Family Photographer

Colorado in the summer time is hard to beat!  You want to know another thing that is hard to beat?  Having some of your best friend’s FINALLY in front of your camera.

Not only are they some of our best friends (and some of the most amazing people you will ever meet), but they are our neighbors as well.  #lucky

Amy is amazing at refinishing furniture and I have her on speed dial whenever I am painting something. She does amazing work and she donates 10% of all of her profits to helping women get out of prostitution and to help end child trafficking.  So if you need a piece of furniture refinished or are looking for some beautifully refinished furniture, she is your gal and she is so beautiful inside and out.

I have never done pictures at this part of Bear Creek Lake Park before….but thanks to COVID shutting down the stables, we were able to shoot there.  Count your blessings I guess.  This setting is fitting as Bailee has always LOVED horses and is heavily involved in Westernaires.  Hard to believe that this location is just a few minutes from Red Rocks and is only 20 minutes from downtown Denver.

Ethan and Bailee were both born with piebaldism (like their dad) so they have the most gorgeous white hair and have since they were babies.  Isn’t that amazing?  I would for sure go gray in a heartbeat if I could be guaranteed to have hair like this!!  The natural highlights are to die for!

She is only a freshman in high school and when I showed Marty the back of my camera of this shot, he got really quiet and a little misty-eyed.  Those of us with kids in high school can relate.  They are growing up way too fast!

They are pretty photogenic, wouldn’t you say?

This session was a combination family/senior picture session.  Ethan is a senior this year (sorry buddy….this year sucks to be a senior) so we did some senior pictures mixed in with family pics.

This kid is AMAZING!  He is kind, thoughtful and just overall a delight to be around.  He spreads joy wherever he goes.

Remember this summer when Colorado was on FIRE?  It was awful, but it made for some pretty stunning backdrops at sunset. #silverlinings

Ethan is a gifted musician and the drum major at Heritage High School.  I am so bummed for him that they weren’t allowed to have a marching band season this year (and last year they didn’t get to have their state competition because of weather).  Poor kids!

His instrument, sunset and shirt all matched.  Perfection!

Are you smiling yet?  You should be!

Hang on.  This long post is about to get a little longer, but it is going to be worth it!

My son Makai, Ethan, my nephew Josiah and another neighbor Landon have been friends for years!  Nothing brings my heart more joy than these 4 boys together.  They encourage each other, pray for each other, laugh together, do projects together and so much more.  I have visions of them all standing up together at each other’s weddings and it makes me all gooey inside.

So at the end of the Ethan’s senior session, the other boys (they are still boys in my head) came so we could get some BFF pictures.  I am sure that if they ever read this blog and heard that I called them BFF’s they would all shake their heads and laugh at me, but that is a risk I am willing to take.

Clearly they don’t have any fun together!

Seriously, you might not find a more amazing group of boys ANYWHERE.  #unbiased

One last one of my son and nephew.  They are only 12 days apart and next summer I just might cry my way through both of their senior sessions (and my neice is going to be a senior too….not sure my heart can take it).  Do you think they look alike?  Me neither.

Way to go!  You made it all the way to the end of this long post!  Thanks for following along with my framily (friends+family).  Want to see more family senior pictures?  Check out my niece Ashlynn and nephew Noah’s senior pictures.
