Calling all seniors who are looking for Colorado Mountain senior picture ideas. Colorado is the BEST state (in my humble opinion) for senior pictures…or anything for that matter. If you are looking for a really cool location for senior pictures, why not look in Fairplay? South Park City (yes…the show is based off of this little town) is an amazing place for senior pictures.
The LiLo Rep Team
Who knew that when I started my Littleton Senior Rep Team, I would be so blessed with an amazing group?! This is my second year having a rep team and it is, by far, my favorite part of being a Littleton senior photographer. I have known Madelyn since she was a twinkle in her mom’s eye! Her mom and I taught together at D’Evelyn and have been friends for 20+ years!
Madelyn had no choice but to be a LiLo senior and she fought the idea of it at first. But I won her over as soon as she started following me on Instagram! The rest is history and not only did I do her senior pictures, but she is on my rep team and is my favorite (don’t worry, I say that to all of my rep team kids…because they are ALL my favorite).
Madelyn is smart, funny and truly is one of the most incredible young ladies I have worked with. I love following her on social media and we have a fun, playful banter that I adore. Also, this school house photo is a nod to her incredible mom who is one of the most amazing English teachers EVER!
Not only is she all of the above, but she is gorgeous and exudes kindness on all levels. Also, check out those amazing boots. See what I mean….sunshine and happiness.
Glasses or no glasses? It doesn’t really matter because she look adorable both ways.
Colorado Mountain Senior Picture Ideas
For Madelyn’s session, she wanted to do pictures up in the mountains. So over a long weekend, we headed up to Fairplay to do pictures at South Park City. It is one of my all-time favorite places to do senior pictures. They have the cutest little buildings and so many fun things to see and do there.
Location Perks
A train is such a cool prop that you really can’t find in too many places. If only I would have used this train LAST year with the class of 22. I thought about photoshopping it to say 23, but I prefer to keep things on the up and up and not mess with photoshop any more than I have to. I also appreciate that Madelyn is always up for a cute hat and she knows how to rock them. Can more senior girls please bring hats to their Denver Senior Pictures?
Accessorize
Jackets and hats make great additions to any shoot. They help mix up the look without having to change your entire outfit. Same outfit and location….two different looks.
Epic Mountain Backdrops
After South Park City, we headed to my favorite hidden gem to get some epic mountain shots. We were sad to find that summer came VERY late to the mountains this year and it was pretty bare. If you want to see it in it’s full glory, check out this post from last year. Even though it wasn’t lush and green, I love the way these turned out. Madelyn’s dress was a perfect fit for the colors of this epic backdrop. Again, having jackets and hats help create variety (and also warmth in the cool Colorado evenings).
This really isn’t a “hidden” location. It really is just the side of a dirt road on the way up Mosquito Pass. But I like to think of it as my little secret spot. Recently I had another photographer ask me about it and I had to explain to her that I just drove on a dirt road until I found the backdrop I was looking for and then I stopped and took pictures there. Very scientific!
New dress, new jacket. I tell you what…this girl has it figured out. She picked the best clothes for her session. She also has the best laugh.
Incorporating the flag is always a win! If you really want to win me over, bring a flag to your senior session.
Thanks for being so awesome, Madelyn. I have loved getting to know you this year and I am beyond grateful that you are on my team. You exude joy, intelligence and caring with every fiber of your being! Enjoy every moment of your senior year!
