I get this question all the time as a brand photographer, “What do I bring to my branding photoshoot?”. You don’t have to figure this out all on your own. I am a branding expert, so here are some ideas for you. So before your next branding photos with your favorite Denver brand photographer (that’s me!) go through this checklist to make sure you have everything you will need!

1. Clothes

This may seem like a given, I do want you to show up to your session in clothes 🤣. But, more importantly, what clothes? Bring a few options, for most branding photo sessions I recommend bringing 2-3 outfits. Each option should match the vibe of your brand, not necessarily your brand colors. In addition, I want you to feel comfortable in these outfits and for it to be clothing you actually do wear and people would see you in.

2. Props

What do you need to do your job? Things that matches your look/vibe? What kinds of things do you use every day? These are all great ways to know what props you should bring to your session! Bringing items that are related to your work will add interest and personal touches to your branding photoshoot that will tell your story to your audience.

3. Something FUN!

One of the reasons I love photographing business owners is for all the reasons you have to celebrate! I know more than most, that running a business can be hard. Plus, there are so many milestones that can easily be overlooked. So, I encourage all my clients to bring something fun to celebrate their business while we are together. Celebrate with confetti, glitter, champagne, balloons, or whatever makes you happy!

4. Beauty

Think hair, makeup and nails. These are the basics to beauty and make the most difference in front of the camera. I don’t recommend getting too dolled up, as that can feel unnatural for you and may result in less authentic photos. However, make sure you feel AMAZING in your own skin. And be sure to get your nails done before!

5. Confidence

Let your photographer do the work of making you look your best! Your job during a branding photoshoot is to show up as YOU, and I will do the rest. I will pose you in flattering angles, get that hair out of your face, and adjust your clothing if needed. Don’t worry about the little things, just be yourself and feel confident in who you are!
