Are you ready for a real treat on this 10th day of #blogmas?  This is probably one of my ALL-TIME favorite sessions from this summer  (maybe even ever).

Family pictures have always been my jam and I have been dying to work with this particular family for years!  We planned to do a it a few years ago, but life got in the way and they were thrown a few curve balls.  But we finally made it happen!  We could not have asked for a more perfect day.

They really wanted Red Rocks as a backdrop for pictures but Red Rocks is, unfortunately, almost impossible in the summer.  There are always a MILLION people there because they have concerts every.single.night.  As an alternative, I suggested this little known area up in Ken Caryl Valley.  #nailedit

They really wanted to include their sweet dog Miles as he started having health issues and they weren’t sure he was going to make it very long.

Unfortunately, Miles passed away only a week after our session so I am glad we included him in the pictures.

I have always admired how this blended family gets along.  Jeff has embraced these boys as his own and I never hear any complaints or negative words about being a blended family!

I have known this sweet girl since she was in utero!  She is the sweetest fireplug you will ever meet!

She is well loved by everyone and I can’t really wrap my brain around the fact that she is in Kindergarten!

These boys have been in the same grade as my boys so I have known them since Kindergarten.  Even though they no longer go to school together, I have a lot of fun memories of these boys spending parties and sleepovers with my boys over the years.

They are all such sweet kids.

I can’t tell you how much I loved spending the evening with this amazing family!
