Are you ready for another senior picture flashback on this, the 9th day of #blogmas?

I was lucky enough to have a slew of gorgeous young ladies for senior pictures this year.  It was a nice change as the last few years I have had WAY more boys than girls.  However, I missed seeing all of my young men for senior pictures.  So, needless to say, I was very happy to hear from Dominic’s mom!   She reached out and let me know that her son hated having his picture taken and I reassured her that most guys aren’t a fan of picture day.  Right?!

However, I usually manage to win them over by the end of the session and most guys confess that it “wasn’t too bad” and some of them actually even admit to having fun!   So #boymoms don’t worry about if your son hates pictures.  I make it as painless (and even downright fun) as possible!

Dominic is more of a serious guy so I got so many great shot of his serious face.  I loved it!

When Becky was talking about his outfit choices she mentioned a “hoodie”.  Usually hoodies aren’t my first choice when it comes to outfit choices, however when they got there and I saw the aforementioned hoodie I was pleasantly surprised.

And Dominic ROCKS this look.  Apparently it is his favorite thing to wear so his mom wanted to reflect that in the pictures.  I love that she is willing to let him be himself and not push him into doing what “should” be done.

By letting him wear his favorite hoodie (which by the way….the ombre look of this hoodie is amazing) it made him feel more relaxed and that definitely showed through in the photos.

Can we just talk about his hair for a minute?  Again, he is totally himself and I love it…..right down to the wavy hair.  Perms have gone by the wayside so it was tough to find a place that did them, but Dominic was insistent and it looks SO great on him.   You would never know it wasn’t natural (sorry to out you Dude…..but there are probably other guys out there who need a hair role model).  Can you believe it?

In conclusion….#1.  I can win over guys who hate their picture being taken.  #2 Hoodies can photograph well.  #3. Perms for guys can be awesome.  Thanks for being true to yourself Dominic (and Becky for letting that shine through).
