Okay. So it is February. Not sure where January went. I blinked and it was gone! I was SUPER busy during January but I am not 100% sure what I did! Well, actually I do know. I took care of some sick kids, had kids home from school a lot (because of sickness and school being out), celebrated my birthday and organized my house. It was a good month but I am ready to get back on track and that means getting back to blogging. December was awesome because it scratched the surface of getting caught up on blogging so now it is time to buckle down and get all the way caught up!
First up in my attempt to get caught up is one of the sweetest families ever! When we were done with our session, they invited me to go to lunch with them and I REALLY wanted to go. I had an appointment right after their session, otherwise I would have gone with them. I first met Ellie at D’Evelyn. She had just been hired and was the cutest pregnant lady you have ever seen. Her classroom was right across the hall from my office at the school.
After she had sweet Meghann, I helped her by watching her 3rd period class for the first 10 minutes so she could pump. I tell you what…..moms that go back to work and continue to pump are my heros! It is so difficult and requires sacrifice. I don’t know that I could have done that. So way to go Ellie. It was my joy to help you out during that time so you could provide milk for little Meghann.
Fast forward a few years and now neither of us is working at D’Evelyn right now. Ellie took a year off to hang out with Meghann and support Mike as he is now a pilot for Southwest and is working more hours. It sounds like they have had a fun year of traveling and spending more time together. I think it is awesome that she took some time off so their marriage and family didn’t suffer from their busy and chaotic schedules.
I had so much fun getting to know Mike and he is a perfect fit for Southwest Airlines. If you have ever flown Southwest you know they are the best! They have the friendliest people and they all genuinely seem to love their jobs! Whatever they are doing…..they are doing it right and hiring great people and making the work environment fun and friendly. And their prices can’t be beat. Sorry….not sponsored by Southwest but if they want to give me some free flights I would be happy to sing their praises even louder (#amiright).
Enough about these two…it is time for the real star of the show.
Meghann!!! Isn’t this little firecracker the cutest?
I love her REALLY blonde hair. I just fits her personality so well. She is SO smart and quick to smile and laugh.
She also has a little bit of a gleam in her eye that can mean trouble. Not in a bad way….but in a “I’m three and I want to push the boundaries” way. You know what I mean.
Look at these three musketeers.
I hope you are enjoying the rest of your year off Ellie! However, my son REALLY wants to take AP Chemistry next year and since you are the BEST chemistry teacher that I know….I selfishly want you to be back at D’Evelyn next year. But in all seriousness, you guys are such a joy to be around and next time…..I am totally going to lunch with you after our pictures.
Want to see more cute families like this one? You should check out the Webers and the Griffins. They are D’Evelyn peeps too!
