I tell you what…I get to meet the most amazing families! When Lisa first contacted me, I knew she was going to be fun to work with because we have mutual friends (and they are amazing). I have all of my clients fill out a little questionnaire so I can get to know them a bit more before the session. I almost started crying when I read Lisa’s answers about her family and I thought to myself “can a family really be this amazing”. Well I am here to tell you that yes….they can and they ARE!
Lisa’s kids are all grown up but I love that she wanted to get a big group family picture. It had been 3 years since both of their older kids got married so it was time for a family update that included everyone. Here are the original 5 Papkes.
And here is the new and improved Papke family.
This couple. They did something right. All of their kids are employed (or in school), happy, have good relationships, and are living and serving their church and community. I really wanted to take a pen and paper and say “Spill it. How did you do it?”.
While everyone was home for Easter weekend, we got together and had a fun-filled session. They made me smile and laugh with their joy, love and antics!
Sam and Maddie have been married for 3 years. He is in medical school and she is an ER nurse. Aren’t they adorable?!
Sarah and Skye have been married for 2 1/2 years and she is a graphic designer for her church and he works in finance.
Malaney is the baby and when we were talking about her being the baby….she made this face. I had to include it. It is too funny not to!
She is in school studying International Business and has been all over the world serving and learning! She is HILARIOUS!
See. I told you they were amazing. And funny. For the last picture of their session they wanted to get a picture of all of the “kids” on the slide.
Not only are they wonderful humans who have worked hard, but their family connection is palpable. I could feel how much they loved each other. I took time to take pictures of each of the Papke kids with each of their parent’s and when I was done Maddie asked if she could have a picture with each of them (and so did Skye). I thought that was just about the sweetest thing ever that the spouses wanted pictures with their in-laws.
We should all be so lucky to have family relationships like this.
If you know and love this family then you are blessed. They are wonderful people and I just want to be friends with them!
