If you haven’t heard the news….I am retiring as a wedding photographer. It has been on my heart for quite some time and as much as I have loved walking through the step of marriage with my LiLo clients, I have decided to take a different turn with my business. It was a difficult decision as I LOVE being a part of weddings, but I felt like I needed to specialize a bit more and let go of some aspects of my business that didn’t spark as much joy for me. Weddings are difficult because they take me away from my family a lot on the weekends and I ended up missing out on a lot of family events because of them. No need to worry. I am still going to be doing families, babies, seniors and headshots!
Thankfully, I am going out with a bang. The weddings I have done this year have been amazing and it made me question if I was making the right decision because the brides and grooms (and their friends and family) have been the best!! So this is going to be my last engagement session (unless a close friend or family member gets married and then all bets are off 😉).
Crazy enough…I shot this engagement session on the morning of my second to last wedding. It was a LONG day but it was filled with such love and joy that it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be! I mean….how can you deny the look in their eyes.
I have known Elizabeth since she was in high school and even from a young age she was full of joy, service and had the best outlook on life despite some challenges that came her way.
So it brought me great joy when she let me know she was getting married and she wanted me to be her wedding photographer!
She and Zach had their first date RIGHT HERE. So it was fun to journey back and do their engagement pictures outside the bar where they first met.
They love going to craft breweries and trying out new beers. So much so, that they had a custom brew made for their wedding. How cool is that?
Elizabeth’s favorite color is purple so Zach made sure her ring reflected that. Isn’t it so pretty and unique?? I have never seen anything like it!
This outfit had me drooling and was so much fun to photograph. Elizabeth, where did you get it???? I know I am going to have people ask me because they want one! Such a fun and unique outfit that is dressy and casual at the same time!
It is obvious that these two are head over heels for each other and I can’t wait for their wedding next month!
