I first heard about this beautiful young lady when my kids were in preschool and I became friends with her mom.  That was years ago!!  Now I have had the privilege of capturing this beautiful couple through their engagement, destination wedding, Colorado wedding and now their growing family!  Brittany has walked a long road with chronic health issues and their road to parenthood has also been long and difficult.

But these two have fought hard to be parents and have made many sacrifices and it has finally paid off!  They are so close to meeting their baby boy!

The mountains were the perfect setting for the Walker’s maternity session!  Not only do they love Colorado, but they have had to climb (and move) mountains to get to this place.

Brittany is beautiful (and extremely photogenic) and when she got out of the car in this beautiful dress and floral crown, I just about died and went to photographer heaven.

Seriously.  I am still pinching myself.

I think if Princess Buttercup (from the Princess Bride) were ever to have maternity photos, they would have looked like this.

Color is my favorite, but every now and then a black and white photo takes my breath away.

I know their faces aren’t in this one, but it is one of my favs.  It is full of emotion and you can almost feel their baby being wrapped in love.

Brittany, despite what she has had to go through in life, always has the best attitude, a cheerful heart and it is a joy to be around her.

She is going to be an amazing mom.  She has such a great mom and grandma that she has wonderful examples to take from!

And the way these two work together….this boy is so lucky.

Do you see what I mean?  This whole session was like a dream.

As far as I am concerned, this baby can’t come fast enough!  I can’t wait to be there as he takes his first breath and to watch these two become parents after such a long wait!
