Urban senior sessions are quickly becoming my favorite!!  Combine that with the son of one of my favorite friends and it turned into one of my favorite senior sessions of the year!

Dayton is such a great and talented young man.  It has been a joy to watch him come into his own and get comfortable in his own skin over the last year or two.  His passions have clarified, he is living for God and using his talents anywhere and everywhere!

He is a SUPER talented drummer and is completely self taught!  He plays drums at church, for the high school youth group and the middle school youth group.  I thought it would be fun to have him come to the Denver Photo Collective studio downtown to get some drumming pictures, and I am so glad we did this.  It was so unique!

He is planning to go to Hillsong College in Australia next year to pursue music and worship so it was only fitting that we got these shots.

Apparently when he first started drumming he had a natural talent and they signed him up for lessons.  After one lesson the teacher said, “he is way beyond the beginner stage and there isn’t much more I can teach him right now.  Just tell him to keep doing whatever he is doing because it is working”.

After our studio session, we thought some urban pictures in Denver’s RiNo Art District would be fun.

A navy blue door?  Yes please.  I think I could photograph this front stoop all day long.

I love this part of Denver because it is an amazing place to do pictures.  There is something new and different each time I go down there and there are murals and bright colors everywhere.  It is a photographer’s dream!

Don’t you just love the diversity we were able to achieve?
