What is the only thing better than a senior session? A twin senior session!! This is a first for me. I have done step sisters in the past, but never twins! So prepare for double the fun in this blog.
These amazing young men are friends with my oldest son. They have been in band and done swim team at D’Evelyn together for the last few years and Makai has really enjoyed getting to know them.
They are both very witty and funny with a dry sense of humor….which is right up my alley!
Not only that, but they are extremely smart and both of them want to go into engineering, just like their dad! They even showed up looking the part of a professional!
Funny story, as we were doing this shoot in Golden we wandered into the Colorado School of Mines campus. Motoko mentioned that she and her husband met on campus at Mines. So naturally we had to get a few pictures of the boys in front of this big garage door which is in the heart of campus. Who knows, maybe one or both of the boys will end up here and keep the Brown family tradition! Wouldn’t that be cool?
For years when I would see these guys at swim meets, school events or band competitions, I had a hard time telling them apart. They often wear matching clothes and hats so it can make it difficult to tell them apart when you don’t know them very well. But after a few minutes of getting to know them a bit better, I was clearly able to tell them apart! Which one did this pose better???
This is Ken (short for Kentaro).
This is Sho (Short for Shotaro).
Brothers.
Both boys wear glasses, but mom wanted pictures without their glasses (and whatever mom wants, mom gets). That proved to be a bit tough as their glasses are transitions and therefore they always have eye protection when they walk outside, so their eyes are really sensitive to the sun without them! Also, during band season they spend hours and hours outside in the sun and because of the glasses they get tan lines. Thank goodness for a little bit of photoshop to help! What do you think? Glasses or no glasses?
Mom likes them without glasses, so she wins!
I think this picture might be my favorite from the session. I think it is the stark contrast of the black suit with the white building.
Thanks for hanging out with me Browns! And enduring the REALLY hot afternoon in your suits. I think we picked the hottest day of the year to do the session and they took it all in stride and never once complained!! Have a great senior year (what is left of it).
