I’m gonna say it…Are you ready? Here’s my hot take: public locations are the BEST for Denver branding photos. 

Right?! I’ve worked for years as a Denver commercial photographer. I’ve done tons of branding photos. After all that, I think that public spaces are the best! Here’s why.

Free Denver Branding Photos Locations!

First, you can avoid BIG rental fees by working in public spaces. In my experience, most places will let you photograph their space if you are a paying customer (I do always recommend that you buy something if we’re photographing at a business!) I also recommend that we talk to the owner or the manager if we are unsure of the rules. However, sometimes it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission and if we are not interrupting the other customers, it should be all good.

Small shops, especially, are always so creative in their design, and it can really bring a unique flavor to your branding photos. Also, libraries, local coffee shops, parks, and gardens are more free or low cost options!

So Many Options, So Close

When you do your branding photos in public, you get so many options for different backdrops and you don’t have to go crazy far. We can get brick, graffiti, shopfront, and sometimes water features within a fifteen minute walk. Not to mention cool architectural stuff, like stairwells or columns.

Street Photography Works For Denver Branding Photos

Street photography is a type of lifestyle photography, so we’re capturing you from all of your natural angles. Think influencer-chic! Taking photos out on the street is authentic in a way studio photography can NEVER BE. 

The casual-ness of it really stands out on social media or sales pages. (And what better way to rep your home city of Denver than to take your branding photos in the city streets?)

My Advice: Don’t be Self Conscious! 

My clients sometimes will say that they are uncomfortable taking branding photos in public. Here’s my second hot take for this post: in public, no one is thinking about you! And even if they are, most of these people will never see you again…so don’t be embarrassed.

You’re building an amazing business, you look incredible, and anyone who looks at you is straight jealous! Own it!
