Your senior year is a time to celebrate, and while it’s fun to have those model-esque shots, sometimes you just want some fun pics for your grad announcements! And as a Denver Senior Photographer, I am all about the celebration poses! I want to show you the best senior pictures “happy poses” for your triumph that you survived your senior year.
The “High School Musical” Jump
Jump to show off on the day you graduate! This one can be especially cute in your cap and gown! However, it is just as fun to do before your graduation in your senior session! Jump off a small ledge to give yourself time to get in a good pose—midair!
Walk into Your Future and Look Back
The walk and look! Start walking away from the camera and look back over your shoulder. This pose is a classic, because it makes literally EVERYONE look amazing. To make it a super-fun-grad-style photo, laugh when you look over your shoulder! It’s like you’re walking out of your old school life into whatever comes next.
The “Sound of Music” Pose
The hills are alive!!! You know what I’m talking about, right? When Maria spins all over the Alps? Ok, now you be Maria. Spinning around in a circle with your arms wide is the quintessential this-is-my-happy-moment pose! And with the end of senior year approaching there is a lot to be happy about.
Take a Rest in Flowers
What says “I’m celebrating myself” more than laying in a field of flowers? We’ll get the closeup shot of your face and eyes. If no fields of flowers are available, tall grass will work too. Either way, it will look beautifully whimsical, trust me.
Run to the Camera
My last idea is running toward the camera with arms out wide. This one is just pure fun to shoot! This one looks especially great if you’ve got longer hair or if you’re wearing a dress/robe. Everything blows back as you run and it looks SO cool!
Don’t miss these fun poses for your senior pictures! I say it so often, but it’s not enough: I just love taking senior photos! If you need some help deciding what to wear for your senior pics, check out this post.
