Are you struggling with showing up on social media? Who isn’t?! Social media can feel like a daunting task to any business owner. Especially when you are aware of how great it is for marketing and connecting with your ideal audience. So today I am sharing some of my favorite social media marketing tips for beginners to help!

Platform

I don’t recommend trying to dominate every social media platform. When business owners do that, they spread themselves thin and don’t reach their goals as quickly. Instead, choose a platform you really enjoy, see if you can find your ideal audience there, and start to grow! Once you get one platform down, you can begin to cross-post to others.

Plan Ahead

The best way to burn out when it comes to social media? Daily posting. Try to avoid creating day by day. Instead, be strategic and plan ahead! Know what your goals are and plan your content accordingly. Then you can schedule out your daily posts, so you don’t have to put in the work every single day! Most social media schedulers allow for cross-posting!

Why Are You Posting?

In relation to planning ahead with a strategy, know why you are posting. The three main areas are education, exposure or expansion. Determine which of these is your goal and that will give you a more clear direction in not only your why, but also in what to post.

Social Media Marketing Tips For Beginners

Of all the social media tips I can offer, the most important is being yourself! I have found that as I embrace my uniqueness and share who I am as a person, I form connections so easily with my audience. As well, I have a whole lot more fun! As much as your ideal client wants a professional to work with, they also want a real person they can relate to and connect with!
