On the fourth day of #blogmas LiLo brings to you….a family I am FOURtunate to know. See what I did there? Cheesy, I know.
From the moment I met Carol and her family, it felt like we were kindred spirits.
I have never laughed so hard during a session. Especially with a family I have just met. Check out this candid photo. One girl was dodging a bee, one was a bit annoyed and Josh was just being silly. It ended up being everyone’s favorite photo because apparently it is a perfect depiction of their family.
This family has something magnetic about them and it is VERY clear that they adore each other. Pair that with a warm summer sunset and it was like pure magic!
These two are twins. You would never know it!
Jordyn looks so young! Milk that as long as you can Jordyn! You won’t mind it a bit when you are in your 30’s.
Josh. The biggest jokester in the bunch.
Josh is such a good brother. Teasing, fun, but also fiercely protective of his sisters.
And rightly so….with looks like this they are sure to be fought over!
Sweet Melanie is good friends with my niece McKenzie. She tagged along last year when I did McKenzie’s 13th birthday pictures, so this was her second time in front of my camera.
This year I switched my way of doing things, which means that after the session (and the pictures are edited) I get to meet with my families again so that they can see the pictures. I have loved being there to see their faces when they see their photos for the first time. It is not uncommon for there to be tears and it brings me such joy.
Carol and I had a great time looking through their pictures and I was able to help her pick out how to display her photos in their home. Then when we were done we just chatted about our families and life. I feel like I have a new friend.
26 years of marriage looks pretty good on these guys, right?!
Carol and Tom you have such a wonderful family. You have really created something beautiful that is to be envied! I might be calling you in a few years to get some advise on how to raise teenagers!
I loved meeting you guys and I can’t wait to see you again in the future!
If you want to see more amazing families like this, you should check out the urban session of the Sapir family or cute the Christmasy Eims family. Families are my jam!
