On the 5th day of #blogmas LiLo brings to you… the Hurkett Boys. (sorry for no catchy rhymes or cheesy puns- just be impressed that I have blogged 5 days in a row).
I first met this family years ago when we attended church together and ended up in a small group together. Funny story coming…..I remember meeting the Hurketts when Rachel was pregnant with their youngest. I hadn’t really met them before and we were in a small group together. Rachel kept spitting in a cup and I thought she was chewing tobacco. Turns out that when she was pregnant she had an overactive production of saliva and had to spit it in a cup because it would make her sick to swallow it. Isn’t that so #funnynotfunny? I told her that story recently and she was mortified that I thought she was chewing tobacco while pregnant (and during church small group nonetheless).
Sorry for that trip down the rabbit hole. I just wanted to tell you a funny story! Back to these boys. They had separate sessions, but I am combining them because…I can!
Noah is growing up so fast and earlier this summer, Rachel wanted to celebrate his becoming a teenager with a special photo session. We went to downtown Littleton and I tell you what….Noah should be a model.
Look at this kid! He sure knows how to work the camera.
This guy is a rockstar football player and he came straight from a football game to these pictures. He still had his game face on.
It is amazing how much kids change from age 11 or 12 to age 13 or 14. I am so glad Rachel took the time to do pictures of Noah during these changing years!
Now onto the next Hurkett boy. We had so much fun with Noah that Rachel wanted to do pictures with Blayke as well. He just graduated from high school this last May but he didn’t have any senior pictures taken.
We took time to remedy that a few weeks ago and did a special post-graduate session.
I LOVED doing fall senior pictures. Pictures usually have to be submitted to the yearbook in late September and fall hasn’t usually shown its pretty face yet. I love the warmth of summer photos, but fall is my favorite!
If you know Rob (Blayke’s dad) you can see that Blayke is the spitting image of his dad.
Apparently the modeling genes run in the family. He knows how to work the camera too!
Blayke is a budding photographer so it was fun to “talk shop” with him.
Good luck in college Blayke! Keep following your dreams and keep picking up the camera. Hurketts, you have some wonderful kids and it has been a joy getting to know them a bit more! I can’t wait for more family pictures later next year.
If you want to see more senior photos, check out these fun pictures from the Paint Mines or this beautiful session of two step sisters.
