I hope you like reading these as much as I like compiling them. We all had high hopes for 2021 after the disaster of 2020. Overall, 2021 wasn’t much better for the world. So much division, controversy, conspiracy, mistrust and on and on. However….in my little corner of the world it was a year of deepening friendships, travel, enjoying my family and an amazing year for my business! In fact, 2021 was my best year ever thanks to all of you! I am so incredibly grateful for 2021 and I have some big things planned for 2022.
But before we get to 2022, let’s talk about my LiLo family in 2021. Going through all of my 2021 photos was so much fun and I loved seeing all of these smiling faces.
Maternity
The babies keep coming even if the world is spinning out of control🤣, but I am thankful for the joy new life brings. It has been a while since I have done maternity pics and they never disappoint. Here are my favorite Denver Maternity Pictures.
Babies
While 2021 wasn’t much better as far as babies were concerned (thanks to tight COVID regulations), it was still better than 2021. I even got to snuggle these babies and oh how I love that freshly baked baby smell (I know I am weird). I am so thankful to be a Denver Newborn Photographer.
Let’s not forget about the big babies. They are my jam too…especially if they are drooling and have cute toes (again I realize I am a weirdo).
I was even able to photograph a birth this year!!! They are my favorite and I was so thankful to be back in the delivery room. Here’s to hoping that I get to do more Denver Birth Photography in 2022 🤞🤞.
Couples
Oops, I think I did this backwards. First comes love, then comes marriage, THEN comes the baby in the baby carriage. Oh well. Here are my favorite couples of the year.
I did ONE wedding in 2021. Even though I had retired, Jayden contacted me about a small, intimate wedding at the clock tower downtown at the very beginning of 2021. I am so glad I came out of retirement for this wedding. If every wedding was as chill, easy and beautiful as this one….I would still be a Denver Wedding Photographer.
Families
Families are the basis of my business. It is what I started with over 10 years ago and some of these families have been with me a LONG time. Grateful doesn’t even cut it. Even as my business shifts to become more of a Denver Branding Photographer and a Littleton Senior Photographer, there will always be room for families.
Family pictures are all about love and connection. Moms, dads, kids, cousins…..these are my favorites!!
Siblings
There is nothing better than when the kids are getting along AND smiling at the camera. I always do my best to try to get fun, cute and creative sibling pictures.
Kids
Speaking of cute kids…..I am one lucky Littleton Family Photographer. Also featured are a peanut butter sandwich and a hand-heart.
Tweens/Teens
Alright, there is something we need to talk about. How is it that the tweens/teens these days look so good? It isn’t fair that they aren’t going to have permed, teased hair with bright blue eyeshadow and mascara photos to be embarrassed about. Can I get an amen??
The Lords
We did something fun this year and rented a VW bus and I swapped photos with another photographer. Here are my favorites from OUR family pictures.
Tired of looking at pictures yet? Good, me neither.
Animals
This year has been a good year for my 4 legged friends too. It is so fun to include family pets and animals as a part of photos.
Fall
Just like most of America, fall is my favorite season. I love the cooler temperatures, the first snowfall (as long as I don’t have to drive in it), the colors, the leaves and most of all….the pictures. Fall is the BEST time to take pictures in Colorado. Here are some of my favorite fall photos of the year.
Cap and Gown
In 2020, I was forced to get creative and did cap and gown sessions. I loved it (and so did you guys) so I offered a few this year as well. I love seeing these kids in the prime of their life with so much life in front of them. These are FOR SURE happening again in 2022.
Branding
This year I decided to make a little bit of a shift in the focus of my business and starting working with more businesses and doing Denver Branding Photography. I am still working on this but I am getting ready to do some big things in 2022 including moving into the online teaching realm and working with more businesses to help them nail down their branding! I am so excited for what is in store. If you are a small business owner, I would love to chat with you.
Seniors
The other shift in my business is putting more emphasis on being a Littleton Senior Photographer. And this was a HUGE win for my business. I did twice as many seniors as I have EVER done in one year.
So many amazing 2022 seniors. It is their year and it is going to be a good one.
One of my dreams came fruitionion this year. Check out these amazing cars (and cool seniors)!
Favorite prop of the year….. I love how patriotic this generation is!
And my favorite part of 2021……
My LiLo Rep Team
My goal this year was to have 5-10 kids on my rep team to help promote my business and fill out my senior picture schedule. I wanted to do several “fun” sessions with them and have kids that are good humans. I am happy to say that I had 10 AMAZING kids on my team and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the success of the program. I am excited to open my 2023 Littleton Senior Rep team in just a few days. If you want more information, you can click here.
We started last winter with an indoor “box” session. So fun to be creative and meet the team.
I wanted most of the pictures to be black and white, but I have learned that I love color way more than black and white.
See what I mean when I say I lucked out with my team. Not only are they great kids, but they are all practically models.
In the summer we did a smoke bomb session and ended with popsicles and ice cream sandwiches.
This fall we did a beanies and flannel session. This one may have been my favorite because they had all become friends and we had so much fun together.
I can’t wait for next year’s team.
