As we are celebrating our 23rd anniversary today, I figured it would be a good day to show off our family pictures from this year. Cheers to 23!
You might ask…how does a family photographer take pictures of their own family? Great question! You find another amazing photographer and do a swap.
Angie is a fellow Denver Family Photographer and I have admired her work for a long time. I reached out to see if she wanted to do a little swap and she quickly agreed. Here is her cute family!
Not only that, she upped the game and wanted to see if I was up for renting a cute VW bus.
Seeing as my husband owned two different busses in high school and college (and even lived in his bus down by the river one summer), we were totally up for it.
He was in heaven.
We decided to do the pictures at our family cabin up in the mountains and I was grateful that they made the trek up there! It is one of my favorite places on earth and it made it extra special to do our photos up there. Plus it is even cuter with a little blue bus on the property.
Angie and I tag teamed and we took pictures of our own kids and families and then we jumped in the photos so the other one could snap a few! It was busy but fun and I took so many photos! I am so grateful for Angie and these photos she got as I am usually absent from photos.
My boys are all getting so big and they are all teenagers now. I can’t believe it!
Now I am officially the shortest one in the family.
The boys had fun playing their guitars and posing with the van.
A lot of parents dread the teen years, but I LOVE IT! They are so much fun and it is a joy to see them growing into adults and learning who they are.
After 23 years, we have built a beautiful life and I am so grateful!
Thanks Angie for swapping photos so I could be IN the photos too. I am grateful for our friendship and the fact that we can support and help each other. (and we even showed up in matching outfits)
