Let’s have a little fun…
Get ready to see a baby go from bump to 4 months in one short blog!
Maternity
Somehow I missed sharing Brittany and Kyle’s maternity session.
Not sure how that happened because it is one of my all-time favorites.
They live really close to Cheeseman park and therefore, we decided it was the perfect place for their Denver maternity photos.
I have never shot here before and it is one of my favorite new places in Denver.
So green and beautiful.
Also, this tree perfectly frames these photos. #composition
The white columns remind me of Washington D.C.
If you do a maternity session with me, I will probably ask you to lay in the grass. I love the way it looks.
These photos were a full circle moment for me! When I was a teacher, I had Kyle for 7th grade geography and now he is a succesful engineer and Brittany (also a D’Evelyn grad) is a lawyer. They aren’t just pretty faces!!
Newborn
Just a few short weeks later…..Arlo made his entrance.
If you know me at all…you know babies are my jam. If there is a baby in the room, I do my best to try to hold that baby. I have been called a “baby hog” and I am totally okay with that. So naturally, taking baby pictures makes me happy.
Isn’t he just the sweetest thing?
Oh the yawn. When babies do it, it is so much cuter than adults.
Can you feel the love just oozing from Brittany and Kyle?
This little guy is lucky.
Mother son pictures are near and dear to my heart.
Father/son pictures are awesome too!!
Give me all the neutrals. I love that whites, creams and grays are still in style.
I love the simplicity it creates in newborn photos so you can just focus on the baby.
First family photos…in the books.
Don’t be fooled by these Denver newborn pictures. Arlo is already several months old. 😬
4 month pictures
However, the good news for you is that you get to see little Arlo grow right before your eyes!
I was SO shocked when they stepped out of car and I was greeted by a little blonde haired, blue eyed baby boy. With both of his parents having brown hair and eyes, I couldn’t believe it.
Isn’t he just a doll baby??
Arlo is so happy and sweet. He was eager to please and I got tons of cute smiles and faces. Even his none smiles were adorable.
During the session, I kept wishing that you could attach sound to a photo. He made the cutest cooing and babbling sounds.
I call this one “squishy face”.
It is amazing how much a baby changes from newborn to four months. That is why I love doing a full year of photos. Not only do I get to the know the family so well, but I love seeing them change so dramatically from one session to the next.
Why am I such a sucker for baby drool?
Please….never let baby overalls go out of style.
Arlo thinks so too.
The good news about procrastination is that I get to see this sweet boy again in just a few weeks!!! And we are all happy about that.
