What is a Rep Team?

You might be wondering….what is a rep team? Let me tell you! A rep team (also called model team or influencer team) is a group of kids who work exclusively with a photographer in a mutually beneficial relationship. There are usually group sessions that are styled or themed and planned by the photographer to create images that are beautiful and fun so they can be shared!

The LiLo Rep Team

This is my third year of doing a rep team for my senior photography and it is my favorite! I love working with seniors more than once so I can really get to know them. With most seniors it is a one and done situation and I miss getting to know them at a deeper level. With my rep team, I do 3-4 sessions with them over a 6-8 month span and it is fun to get to know them and also to see them get to know and love each other. In March of 2022 we did a shoot at an turn of the century school and then in June, we did a mountain shoot. SO MUCH FUN!

Group Rep Team Sessions

The group sessions allow me to flex my creative muscles. This last fall, I planned a two part session and it was my favorite! The first half of the session was a bo-ho vintage 70’s vibe with a VW Westy van.

The second half of the session was a garage/grunge themed shoot. One of our rep team member’s grandpa owned a local autobody shop and we did that part of the session there. I love the leather, black, red, gritty feel of these photos.

We also added some vintage Dr. Pepper bottles for some fun (and because I am Dr. Pepper fiend). Aren’t these photos so much fun?

And then it was time to showcase some of the cool, vintage cars that were hanging around the autobody shop. The more I shoot with cars….the more I LOVE it! So if you want to bring your car to your session, it will always be a yes from me.

Local Partnerships

Last year I added a partnership with Giggleblossom boutique and it seriously leveled up the experience of my rep team. The girls were able to go to Giggleblossom before each group session and pick out clothes to borrow that fit the theme of the session. Then they could purchase the clothes at a discounted cost if they fell in love with them. It was a huge success and allowed the girls to step out of their comfort zone and try new designs without having to shell out any extra money. It also helped our shoots to be more cohesive and allowed for the girls to hang out and shop together which made the experience that much deeper. Most of these clothes came from Giggleblossom!

What is Required?

The rep team members are like mini influencers. Their job is to represent the brand of LiLo Photography to their friends and family. They share the images from their sessions and promote my business so I can work with their friends, classmates and other seniors from their community. They just have to show up and share. What Are the Perks?

Glad you asked! The kids on my rep team get TONS of benefits. Most of all….they get triple (or even quadruple) the amount of images as a regular senior session. They get to wear clothes from Giggleblossom, get discounts from other local brands, get a fun welcome box and dinner and many other things along the way! Every year I ask the kids to fill out a survey and I ask them their favorite part and the answer is always the same. They LOVE getting to know other seniors and making new friendships. Isn’t that cool? This year I am adding some volunteer opportunities which will also look good on college and scholarship applications so that will be an added perk as well.

How do you join?
