During a slow season is the perfect time to dial in your branding! Here is how I recession proof businesses as a brand strategist.
The 5 V’s Of Branding
I have worked with dozens of businesses in the past few years, and as a result, I have noticed some common themes and correlations between a business’s success and branding. In addition, I have seen five common denominators that all prosperously growing businesses have in their branding. Introducing the 5 V’s of branding:
Vision
Get started with your vision! This will guide everything you do in your branding and business. Making decision-making as a business owner so much easier! Defining your vision is as simple as considering: What is your end goal? What’s your mission? Once you get that down, it’ll be easy to recognize your value.
Value
Defining your value to your clients is key to branding effectively. Without knowing your value, you will feel unsure about what you offer, as well as how to price it. Understanding your unique value will build confidence in your services and pricing, as well as in yourself as a business owner. This is a key factor when I strategize to Recession Proof Businesses.
Voice
Your voice determines how you speak to clients on all platforms. In-person, over the phone, on social media, through your website, and however else you communicate! The voice you use is imperative to who you connect with. Find what resonates with your ideal client, and start including that in your language.
Visuals
As a brand photographer, this one may just be my favorite. Visuals make all the difference in branding. Through strategic visual elements and brand photography, you are able to evoke emotions, and connect with your audience. This will be the means of communication on many platforms to share your vision, value and voice.
Vehicle
Your vehicle is all about your visibility. How are you putting yourself out there? Obviously, your website and socials. But also consider ads and other marketing tools. When I Recession Proof Businesses with branding, I always note where and how the business is showing up. Then we find ways to improve those vehicles, as well as add more vehicles to diversify.
