Senior Pictures Prop Ideas

June 12, 2023

Senior pictures are a time to celebrate you… but how can you bring YOU to the shoot? My goal as a Denver photographer is to help you feel like the best version of you. One way to do this is by bringing the right props to your senior session! Use this guide to start brainstorming senior pictures prop ideas!

Stuff to Wear

I’m a big believer in the right to accessorize! If you bring extra hats, purses, extra jewelry, shoes, or jackets, we can mix and match ALL of these with your outfits, giving you a ton of options for your senior pictures! And don’t forget to bring special clothing items from your hobbies. Consider using your jersey, letterman jacket, or a dress from a senior recital as one of your outfits.

Stuff to Celebrate

Celebration items are another fun option! Bring balloons, confetti, leis, banners, or anything else that literally screams celebration. It is so fun to get your senior pictures with props like these (and they look amazing on your graduation announcements).

Or, start celebrating what’s coming next! College merch or flags can also be a fun way to celebrate your next steps in life.

Stuff You Do

Since graduation is all about celebrating you and YOUR growth, bring props and accessories that represent your high school experience. Got your poms? Your FFA trophy? Your cello? Or your football from that final touchdown? Bring it!

We can do SO much with these accessories, and even better, it’ll pay homage to all the hours you’ve spent with your favorite extracurricular.

Stuff You Like

And lastly, just bring the stuff you like. If you love your car, bring your car. If you love your dog, bring him, too. Why not? There’s nothing to lose here, guys! These unique props inspire me and help us have so much fun during your senior pictures. If you’re questioning how to showcase something you love, let’s brainstorm together! I’m sure we’ll come up with something creative.

These senior pictures prop ideas will set you apart, and make you feel more satisfied with your photos! Not to mention all the fun opportunities for creative photos. I would love to work with you for your senior pictures in or around Denver! Time is running out for the grad class of 2024, so make sure to book ASAP!
